CLOSING DATE : TO BE ADVISED (2008)

The new $120M Smart State Strategy Program will include:

  1. $23.3M Innovation Skills Fund to support more researchers in our world-class research institutes and industry-research exchanges.
  2. $25M Health and Medical Research Program to attract leading clinical researchers to improve Queensland's health services though research. It will fund 6 Senior Clinical Fellows, 22 Health Research Fellows and 12 Clinical Academic Fellows.
  3. $60M for the Innovation Projects Fund to support collaborations between researchers and industry-research partnerships.
  4. $3.3M International Fellowships Program will provide opportunities for 13 Queenslanders per year to undertake research with world-class institutes in the Asia-Pacific, Europe and the USA.
  5. $4M Commercialisation Fellowships for Researchers and Entrepreneurs-in-Residence Program will exchange leading minds in industry and research to commercialise research discoveries.
