- Highlight conceptual advances that will contribute to the field of knowledge
- Articulate a clear description of the problems/issues and their significance in the field
- Outline clear methodologies, processes, pathways for dealing with these
- Provide a specific timetable and milestones where appropriate
- Indicate availability of appropriate research infrastructure (equipment and facilities)
- Demonstrate the research will advance current knowledge in the area
- Highlight the track record of the researcher/research team and their ability to effectively manage a research project to fruition.
