QUT is strongly committed to collaborative research with external clients and as such runs an internal grant scheme to assist in the facilitation and development of collaborative research partnerships. The QUT Strategic Links with Industry Scheme has an open closing date and is designed to fast-track collaborative research projects with industry. Access the Guidelines and Application Form.

The Australian Research Council's ARC Linkage-Projects Scheme is designed to facilitate and promote collaborative research between university-based researchers and industry partners. The scheme is extremely flexible and can fund projects in the range of $20,000 - $500,000+ per annum for projects of 1 to 5 years duration. This scheme requires a matching cash and in-kind commitment from industry partners to be successful. Applications are peer reviewed. This scheme has two rounds, with closing dates in May and November of each year. Further information on external funding opportunities.
