Conference papers that fall into the categories listed below can be submitted to the QUT Scholarly Collection using the
 E - Conference Paper Coversheet - QUT Scholarly Collection (updated August 2007).

The HERDC Definition of Research does not need to be confirmed for QUT Scholarly Collection publications.

Conference paper categories

  • E2 - Full conference paper not refereed - for a conference paper where no proof of peer review can be supplied or no refereeing existed
  • E3 - Extract or abstract of conference paper - where the extract or abstract of a conference paper is published either in the conference proceedings or elsewhere
  • E4 - Editor of a conference proceedings - for an edited volume of conference proceedings where the author is identified as having editorial responsibility for the proceedings
  • E5 - Other refereed conference paper, for example:
    • refereed conference papers that are scholarly, professional or research papers that do not meet the HERDC criteria for the definition of research
    • refereed conference papers that have been presented at a second or subsequent conference
    • refereed conference papers which missed the HERDC deadline
  • E6 - Keynote Address - a Keynote Address that does not meet the HERDC criteria for a Conference Paper
