Journal articles that fall into the categories listed below can be submitted to the QUT Scholarly Collection using the
C - Journal Article - QUT Scholarly Collection Coversheet (updated August 2008).
The HERDC Definition of Research does not need to be confirmed for QUT Scholarly Collection publications.
Journal article categories
- C2 - Refereed journal articles published in a scholarly or professional journal that do not meet the HERDC criteria, for example:
- Research notes or short research articles
- Scholarly or professional articles (which do not meet the HERDC definition of research)
- C3 - Non-refereed journal articles published in a scholarly or professional journal controlled by an editor or editorial board, for example:
- Articles that are sets of guidelines or summaries of the state of knowledge in an area, generally intended to inform practitioners in a professional field;
- Medical case histories
- C4 - Reviews or Commentaries, for example:
- Commentaries and brief communications of original research that are not subject to peer review
- Editorials
- Book reviews
- Letters to the editor
- Reviews of art exhibitions, concerts, theatre productions (by members of appropriate academic departments)
